Today, in Starbucks, a little boy, who couldn’t have been more than 4 years old, attacked me. He saw me walking toward him, lowered his head and rammed me in the crotch with it. It was not a mistake. There was clear intent to cause harm. I wonder his motives. I refuse to believe it was mere child’s play and feel like I was the victim of some sort of organized hooliganism. Has anyone else been attacked in such a manner? Especially in the Times Square area? Agism is a serious problem in this country and to think it may be manifesting itself through violence frightens me. If this is happening under the microscope of New York City, what’s to say pockets of gangs comprised of 4 year old punks aren’t elsewhere.

Luckily, he missed his target. It wasn’t a direct hit. I was not momentarily paralyzed by the aggression. Only the fear that this was somehow premeditated.

I said, “Whoaaaa, there, haha”

I looked down and he looked up at me. Laughing. Taunting. Threatening.

His mother with a smile, “Excuse me.”

And I’m thinking to myself… Ma’am, I’m not sure you’re fully aware of the devil you’re raising.

Who’s in my fridge? I think they’re leaving the light on. Not sure though. Does milk frighten them? Are they just looking for paradise? These fridge people better help pay this month’s energy bill.

Spam. We all deal with it. No matter how inconspicuous you try to be, spam will find a way to you. No matter how good your spam filters are, some will get through. It ranks right up there with miabifilms.com and pop-ups as the most annoying things on the internet.

Half of all the spam I get goes toward penis enlargement. The other half is split up among online drug stores, phishing scams, and fundraising requests from the alumni association. Admittedly, that last one may not be spam. Depending on your definition. Spam, however, does offer a lot of opportunities for humor.

Here is a recent spam headline I found hilarious:

Fornicate like a Macho!

Post some of your favorite spam headlines and lets go spamming the world!

I am remiss in not posting this earlier. After sending the invitation to my mom, I must have thought everyone would know by now. Mom, you were really lax in promoting Simon’s play this year.

My friend Simon Astor, the brilliant and maniacal man that he is, went and wrote another play. The spelling of ‘Centre’ in the title should tell you all you need to know about it. This is going to be a sexy thrill-ride! From what little I know about the plot, I know it’ll be sexy. I had the pleasure of working with Simon on Witch Prison and I hear this tops it.

In addition, my brother in arms Richard Grant is handling the music again. The one thing I know about Lightnin’, and this is the ONLY thing, is that that boy know how to make music. It should be great. If you can make it this week, you really should stop by and check it out. Opens Wednesday 7/8.
